4SG windows glass system

  1. Superior thermal insulation – The non-metallic warm-edge spacer and high-concentration argon fill drastically reduce heat transfer, minimizing cold drafts and condensation.

  2. Extremely long service life – The chemically bonded sealing system keeps annual argon leakage below 0.1%; after 25 years, argon content remains above 80%, with no fogging or discoloration.

  3. Excellent acoustic insulation & high transparency – Paired with Low-E coating, light transmittance exceeds 80%, while optimized cavity width and argon filling significantly improve noise reduction.

Product Details

4SG windows glass is a high-performance insulating glass (IG) unit featuring a proprietary long-life sealing system. Unlike conventional IG units that use rigid metal spacers (e.g., aluminum), 4SG utilizes a flexible, non-metallic warm-edge spacer with chemical bonding. This creates an extreme, durable seal that maintains gas fill and prevents moisture ingress.

Features

  • Superior Thermal Insulation – The non-metallic spacer drastically reduces heat transfer between indoors and outdoors, minimizing the “cold draft effect” even with large indoor-outdoor temperature differences.

  • Warm-Edge Effect – Reduces condensation and frost on the glass surface, especially in cold northern climates.

  • Extreme Long-Term Sealing – Chemically bonded, not just mechanically sealed. Argon gas retention is dramatically improved: annual leakage rate <0.1%, compared to >1% for conventional aluminum spacer units (which lose most gas within 3–5 years).

  • Excellent Acoustic Insulation – The cavity width is optimized to create reverse sound waves, and the argon fill further enhances noise reduction.

  • High Transparency & Low-E Compatibility – When paired with Low-E coating, it blocks thermal radiation while maintaining >80% visible light transmittance. Cavity is filled with >95% argon to reduce convection.

  • Durability Certified – Passed 5× durability cycles (each cycle equivalent to 10 years in mild conditions). After 25 years, the argon content remains ≥80%

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q1: Why is 4SG glass better at keeping a room warm in winter?
A: The non-metallic warm-edge spacer stops heat from escaping through the glass edge. Combined with >95% argon fill and Low-E coating, it cuts heat loss by reducing conduction, convection, and radiation.

Q2: Does 4SG glass really last 25+ years without fogging?
A: Yes. The chemical bonding creates a truly hermetic seal that blocks water vapor. Independent testing (5-cycle GB/T11944-2012) proves it resists gas leakage and moisture ingress far longer than conventional units.

Q3: How much quieter is 4SG glass?
A: The specific cavity width generates reverse sound waves, and argon gas further dampens sound transmission. It provides noticeable noise reduction compared to single-pane or poor-seal double glazing.

Q4: Can I use 4SG glass with any window frame?
A: Yes, 4SG is a sealed insulating glass unit that fits standard frames. Its flexible spacer also reduces thermal stress on the frame.

Q5: Is the 25-year warranty really valid?
A: Yes. The warranty covers seal integrity, argon retention, and freedom from internal fogging/discoloration for 25 years, backed by the 5-cycle durability test

Q6: How does 4SG compare to “warm edge” spacers like TPS?
A: 4SG is a complete system (spacer + primary seal + secondary seal) with chemically bonded, flexible material. It offers superior long-term argon retention and is the only one passing the Chinese 5-cycle test. Many warm-edge spacers only address the spacer, not the entire sealing system.

Q7: Does 4SG glass reduce condensation on the window surface?
A: Yes. The warm-edge effect raises the glass edge temperature, significantly reducing the risk of indoor condensation and frost in cold climates.
